Opel Supports 34U

Opel plants trees for better environment
As part of their silver anniversary celebrations, United Automobile Limited, representatives of Opel cars in Malta for the last 25 years, have lent their support to the national 34U Campaign with a donation and planting of trees in Ta’ Xbiex. The event coincided with the build-up to Environment Day, marked worldwide on June 5.
“Our environment is under a clear and present threat and Opel is very conscious of this,” said Edmund Gatt Baldacchino, Managing Director of United Automobile. “Its contribution towards protecting our planet lies in its production of cars which are more efficient in performance and therefore have lower carbon emissions. As a company, UAL is supporting the 34U Campaign for the planting of more trees as these improve the environment aesthetically and contribute in absorbing harmful carbon dioxide.”
